Ogden Nash (1902-1971) was a funny American poet, writing verse that defied categorisation.
Among other things, he wrote poems on animals, insects and other creatures, like the poem below:
The Firefly
The firefly's flame
Is something for which science has no name
I can think of nothing eerier
Than flying around with an unidentified glow on a
person's posteerier.
