Wacky T-shirt Collar Labels from Tantra
Tantra t-shirts are one of the few t-shirt brands in India (At the time of writing). It is very hard though to select one kind of t-shirt that suits you. Being a timid rabbit when it comes to t-shirt captions, I finally picked a Mumbai word collage shaped in a absolut vodka bottle design. What comes as unexpected are the words on the unnoticeable interior collar tag. This is what it proclaims, among other things:
DO NOT BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF THIS SHIRT
BEWARE OF 'DHOBI'

SNOWFLAKES
Although I have never seen snow except on TV, this t-shirt design is influenced by Orhan Pamuk's novel Snow. The novel has snow falling all through its first half, blocking off a town from the rest of the world.
I loved the first 200 pages, could not even proceed when events shift from the snow filled city to other things. There is no doubt that Pamuk is one of the most gifted writers of our time. Most of his stories cover his "caught at the crossroads" nation-Turkey.
In the story, Turkey has two groups agaisnt each other, the traditional radicals and on the other side, the modernists who want change. Beautiful, poetic and original till it drags a little and seems streched at times.
Try reading it sometime. The effect of snow falling all the time is beautifully written.

DO NOT SPOIL YOUR HARRY POTTER EXPERIENCE
The Internet is your worst enemy right now, you all who are Harry Potter maniacs.
Avoid the spoilers and take the journey through the last and discover for yourselves. Close out to the outside world, be in a virtual cave, when reading the last book. It will a great journey, like life, you would not know what is to happen next.
Meanwhile Scholastic publications, the US publisher of the series are accusing certain distributors of delivering the books before the 21 July deadline. The publishers will be filing a case against the distributor -Levy Home Entertainment.
Personally,I am no fan of Harry, although there are some magic moments in the books, I prefer JRR Tolkien's Lord of the Rings and its enthralling prequel- The Hobbit. Very exhaustive, and readable a hundred thousand times because of the million things that combine to be an epic tale. Rowling, in writing for children has brought a formulaic and soap-opera like twists to the Potter plot. The first book is certainly recommended though - Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.

HE IS NOT GOING TO TELL YOU..ANYTHING ABOUT HARRY POTTER
PHOTO:Nicole Bengiveno/The New York Times
Jim Dale, a 71 year-old veteran Broadway actor is the voice all the Harry Potter audio books. He has already recorded the audio for the last book- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, written by J K Rowling.
Yes, he knows everything about what happens in the supposedly last books of the Harry Potter series.
He is one of the few who know before the final book releases on July 21.
Jim's grandchildren went mad in trying to get the secret from him. Even his wife doesn't know. Jim signed a non-disclosure agreement before reading the audio text of the final book.
Jim says that it is only better that children find the end for themselves. Revealing the plot would be like giving a surprise gift to a child and saying the surprise gift is a bicycle, he says.
Jim does reveal a clue. It is a surprise ending.
Thank you Jim. We needed that.
